About DDC Delhi
Constituted in 2015, the Dialogue and Development Commission of Delhi is the policy think-tank of the Delhi Government and advises it on finding people-centric sustainable solutions to the critical development challenges of Delhi.
SHRI ARVIND KEJRIWAL
HON’BLE CHIEF MINISTER & CHAIRPERSON, DDC DELHI
The present Delhi Government sprung from a people’s movement – a movement to eradicate corruption and to decentralise governance (Swaraj). Within a few years, many of our policies have received global acclaim be it the transformation of government schools, provision of high-quality primary healthcare at mohalla clinics, 24×7 electricity provided at the lowest tariff in India, home delivery of government services, etc. We could do this by practicing honest politics and by bringing the ‘aam aadmi’ (common man) at the centre of all our policies a goal that DDC Delhi is dedicated towards as well.
Our Work
DDC Delhi considers global best practices and provides concrete evidence-based inputs on the design of public policy in various strategic areas to the Delhi Government. It also develops innovative models to bridge knowledge and capacity gaps, if any, and support the expeditious implementation of critical reforms.
Moreover, DDC Delhi works towards promoting participatory governance by establish platforms that bridge the gap between government and external stakeholders such as the private sector, civil society, academia, communities etc. DDC enables improved policy-making by promoting the use of data, evidence, and modern monitoring and evaluation techniques, and ensures internal and external learning about the impact of Delhi Government’s reforms.
